William Hamilton Osborne, 90, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Katy Texas. He was born in a farm house November 6, 1926 to Perry and Irene Osborne in Elk Falls, Kansas. Bill graduated top of his class of three from Howard High School, Kansas. He served during World War II in the Naval ROTC V-12 officer training program. William Hamilton Osborne, 90, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Katy Texas. He was born in a farm house November 6, 1926 to Perry and Irene Osborne in Elk Falls, Kansas. Bill graduated top of his class of three from Howard High School, Kansas. He served during World War II in the Naval ROTC V-12 officer training program. On February 22, 1946 he married Ruth DeLong in Lafayette, Indiana. Bill attended Purdue University on the GI bill, earning both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering. He had a successful 40 year career with Shell Pipeline. Bill patented the first pipeline pig trap and was a pioneer using computers to control the flow of fluids in pipelines. Bill loved the Lord and spent most of his life working with youth teaching them about Jesus. He also enjoyed hiking and working with Boy Scouts. After retirement, Bill and Ruth served as missionaries several months in Indonesia, Malawi and India. They also served short-term in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Venezuela. They accomplished Bill's childhood goal of someday going around-the-world two times. In the last few years Bill's priority and devotion was caring for his precious Ruth.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Ruth; sons, Roger Osborne and his wife Nancy, Lloyd Osborne and his wife Rebecca, Robert Osborne and his wife Christina; daughter Caroline Evans and her husband Robert. He has nine grandchildren Patrick Osborne, Gregory Osborne and his wife Stephanie, Stephen Evans and his wife Twyla, Phillip Osborne and his wife Sims, Melody Woodward and her husband Bob, Christy Murry and her husband Trent, Timothy Osborne and his wife Jessica, Lauren Hollier and her husband David, and RJ Osborne; five great grandchildren Dryden, Aurora, Gideon, Malachi and Joy Osborne; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers John and Lloyd Osborne; and his sisters Mary Ellen Cooley and Betty Young.
