Larry Alan Chappell, 56, of Richmond, Texas, passed away December 31, 2017. He was born in Houston, Texas on October 20, 1961. Larry graduated from Waltrip High School in 1980. He was married to Canny Chappell on October 10, 2001. Larry began his career of 27 years with Wyatt Field Services in Houston, Texas which led to his position as an estimating manager. Larry Alan Chappell, 56, of Richmond, Texas, passed away December 31, 2017. He was born in Houston, Texas on October 20, 1961. Larry graduated from Waltrip High School in 1980. He was married to Canny Chappell on October 10, 2001. Larry began his career of 27 years with Wyatt Field Services in Houston, Texas which led to his position as an estimating manager. He had a passion for the outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his father James Chappell, son Clay Chappell, and brother Clifford Chappell. He is survived by his mother Nell Chappell, wife Canny Chappell, son Chase Chappell & wife Amanda, stepsons Gabriel Gelista, Paul Garza & Wife Kalie, stepdaughter Desirae Gelista, granddaughter Kamila Garza, sister in-law Terry Chappell, sister Galynne Shimerka & husband Gerald, nephews Kyle Shimerka and Kenneth Urmy, niece Karly Shimerka and many other numerous relatives. Larry was a wonderful son, husband, father, friend and coworker who was a positive influence in the lives of everyone he met. He truly exemplified a life well-lived. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11am, January 11th, at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, Texas 77494.
